Engineered for significant weight reduction, (the lightest at 48 lbs.) and increased load capacity (up to 28.3 times its own weight -- greater than any other dolly), it still retains all of the safety features of the original Hi-Speed® Dolly. Although 100 lbs. lighter than earlier Hi-Speed®Dollies , it is designed for even heavier-duty use, (up to 4,280 lbs.) and long-term durability.
Despite the fact that the Hi-Speed®Dolly is the most imitated and copied dolly in both name and design by U.S. competitors and Chinese manufacturers, Collins continues to defy them all by setting the benchmark in advanced self-loading dolly design. One example is the patented Dynamic Air-Flow System which allows air to pass through the patented aluminum hub and aluminum wheel, dissipating heat from them more efficiently.
TWO-TONE ZINC PLATING! All moving and removable parts are plated in yellow zinc chromate. New Products The other half of designing and building dollies is providing the means to mount them in whatever configuration is needed. The following are original mounting systems that continue to add to the variety that Collins has provided since the advent of the self-loading Hi-Speed®Dolly.

First is the JD Cross dolly bunk invented by Jeff Cross in the early 1990s. This aluminum single-piece unit mounts to the underbody easier and more quickly than any of the imitation dolly bunks.
Next is the Collins all-in-one, locking combination mount. This is the first dolly mount designed to hold dolly frames, cross rails, and pry bar in a single unit. This original mount is also slanted for easy retrieving and stowing of dolly equipment. Designed to work either in the back of a pickup truck for repos or on the deck of a wrecker for recoveries.
